Food Security

Available food pantries in your area

Food insecurity is when people find themselves in a position where they do not have the money or access to food for themselves or their families.  Rising food prices and lack of access to grocery stores in marginalized community contribute to the problem. In the Veteran community there still exists significant unemployment, lack of job training, low wages and lack of low cost housing, all leading to food insecurity. Vets Moving Up provides resource information on the local food pantries in counties throughout Georgia.  In addition, organizations can work with us to receive free groceries through our mobile food pantry.
